“Mental ill-health costs UK employers £34.9 billion each year, the equivalent of £1,300 for every employee in the UK workforce. This is not only a result of sickness absence which accounts for £10.6 billion, but includes reduced productivity and replacing staff who leave their jobs for mental health-related reasons.”

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING
Since 2011 the UK government has highlighted that there is ‘no health without mental health’, but how much do we really understand about recognising the symptoms and managing mental health effectively?
Mental Health First Aid training teaches managers and individuals to identify the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards the most appropriate support. By educating leaders, managers and employees to proactively manage wellbeing in the workplace, we can stop issues arising before they become a crisis and minimise the impact of mental ill-health on work and life.
In September 2017, The Mayor of London recommended that Mental Health First Aid training to be adopted across the capital and the government has highlighted Mental Health First Aid training as a “game changer”.
Whether you have a wellbeing strategy in place or not, these courses are designed to empower your people to meet the diverse challenges of the workplace with confidence.
